Deity yoga is somewhat fascinating to me, it is practiced all over the world in varying degrees. Even Christianity utilizes the method, be the holy spirit or asking christ into ones heart. Guru yoga is also practiced in much the same manner. Entire religions focus on this practice as well, an excellent example being that of the african diaspora.
